Caterham is coming strong to F1 in 2012 with their new CT01 challenger.
Yesterday Caterham F1 revealed their 2012 challenger and announced that it will grace the cover of the magazine F1 Racing. The CT01, as it is known, wears Caterham's signature green and is powered by engines from Renault. Caterham F1 has been racing under the Lotus guise during its first two seasons in Formula 1. This is the first time the team will field a car bearing its namesake. The new racer has been designed for serious aerodynamics and has a tight and low rear design to maximize low drag effect.
The CT01 will make its track debut in February in Jerez, Spain, as Caterham F1 begins the testing phase of their latest racecar. It will be piloted by drivers Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen. The 2012 Formula 1 season kicks off at the Australian Grand Prix on March 18th.
