Popular Formula One driver Kamui Kobayashi has designed a special edition Seven, which comes packing a host of features hand-picked by the Caterham F1 Team's Japanese driver. Based on the 125-hp Seven 250 R, the special edition model comes with the single-seater layout, six-speed manual and limited slip differential. The exterior sports high-gloss black paint, matt black sport stripes and a number 10 badge on its nose.

Carbon fiber infused with Caterham green lacquer has been used for the front wings and rear wing protectors, a polished chrome exhaust exits out the rear and new 13-inch diamond cut black alloys round of the bespoke styling. Inside, the uniquely-colored carbon-fiber dash will be personally signed by Kamui, while the driver will pilot the Seven from a carbon-fiber seat complete with green contrast stitching, a Kamui logo on the headrest and a green Takata 4-point harness. Kamui gauge inlays and a green gear shifter with Kamui wordmark round off the special touches.

Speaking of the special edition, Kamui said: "For me, the Caterham Seven is a pure car; when you drive a Seven it feels like you are driving, not like the car is driving you. In my Caterham F1 car, I have electronics that control everything but to drive the Seven is to truly understand the car and to truly understand the enjoyment of driving. I hope my styling of the Seven adds something special to a car that is already awesome to drive." Unfortunately, all ten units of Kamui's Seven are earmarked for Japan, priced at 6,000,000 Yen (a shade under $59k at today's rates).
