In case you'd forgotten, BMW is celebrating its centenary this year. Marking the momentous occasion will be a string of cutting edge concepts and limited editions that look to the next 100 years. In fact, the latest offering is called exactly that. 'The BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years' (to give it its full name) will be limited to 100 units and be offered on the BMW 740Le iPerformance, 750Li, (both with or without xDrive) and range-topping M760Li xDrive.

Exclusive Centennial Blue metallic paint combines with 20-inch V-spoke design alloys finished in Silver/Ferric Grey, a handcrafted signet embossed with "The Next 100 Years" lettering adorns the B pillars, while other nods to BMW's birthday car include Piano Black interior strips above the glove compartment, the front and rear headrests and cup holder cover. The cabin, as you'd expect, is swathed in luxurious Smoke White Merino leather; carefully-selected, quilted, hand-woven and contrasted with black accents and matching Alcantara headliner, floor covering, mats and seat belts. A leather steering wheel comes trimmed in fine-wood.

Buyers will also receive a 'Montblanc for BMW' fountain pen that matches that color and design of the anniversary 7 Series; the Meisterstuck Skeleton pen matches the quilted seats surfaces and sports the same shade of blue. Look closely and the rhodium-plated gold nib is engraved with the same backstitching found on the leather seats.

No word on pricing, but only five cars are slated for the US market in the form of the M760Li xDrive, which comes powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 rated at 610 hp, giving it the ability to shift from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds.
