Celebrity-Owned One-Of-A-Kind LaFerrari Up For Sale

Let's hope the next owner drives it more often.

Owning a LaFerrari is guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd. But Jamiroquai frontman and renowned car collector Jay Kay went one step further when he showed up at the 2014 Goodwood Festival Speed in his LaFerrari. While most owners opted to have their hypercar finished in traditional colors like red, yellow, or black, Jay Kay had his LaFerrari painted in bright green.

"I wanted to make a statement with the car, and it is all about the car," he said when asked about his unusual color choice. "I think it gives the car a personality and it gives it a uniqueness and it deserves it and I've tried to do that. It's not often that I order a new car, most of my stuff is classic stuff, so when I do I like to make a bit of an event of it and I thought this, Italian flag green, would be appropriate, with the red lights – it's the Italian flag so it's worked out."

If you also want to own a LaFerrari unlike any other, Jay Kay's vibrant hypercar is currently listed for sale by Joe Macari in London. The celebrity-owned hypercar comes with a host of carbon fiber extras, as well as a matching luggage set. The striking "'Signal Green" is protected by a paint protection film and has also been applied to the exterior, where you'll find contrasting green piping and stitching on the black leather seats.

Jay Kay's green LaFerrari has only clocked up 1,900 miles since it rolled off the production line, so let's hope its next owner drives it more often. Like all other examples, Jay Kay's LaFerrari features a hybrid drivetrain comprising of a 6.3-liter V12 engine and an electric motor delivering a combined 950 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.

At the time of writing, the green LaFerrari has a pending offer so could be under new ownership soon. We're not sure why Jay Kay has decided to part ways with his unique LaFerrari. Presumably, he's making some garage space to add more supercars and classic cars to his vast collection.
