There's only one other production V8 engine in the world more powerful than what's under the hood of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. It's the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that powers the McLaren P1. Dodge claims its Hellcat V8 is good for 707 horsepower. The McLaren P1's V8, without the electric motor, produces 727 hp. Now consider the price tag: the Challenger SRT Hellcat has a sticker price of $60,000. The P1 costs over $1 million. That's a staggering amount of horsepower for the dollar. It's almost too good to be true.

In fact, there's even a rumor going around that the Hellcat's actual output is over 800 hp, although Dodge isn't commenting on that. Whatever the truth really is, the Challenger SRT Hellcat still looks fantastic and sounds brilliant. And now it's Motor Trend's turn behind the wheel. Like always, this Challenger proves to be one hell of a good time.
