Charger Also Loved by Police

Since the Dodge Charger is one of the last rear-wheel drive full size sedans on the market, police departments have also become fans. Like the Chevrolet Impala, the Charger is large enough to meet law enforcement needs in terms of interior and trunk space. Unlike the Impala, the Charger's rear-wheel drive makes it the more attractive vehicle. This configuration, while not fuel friendly, is preferred by police due its abilities in high speed chases.

In addition, the Charger is available with a V8, which is not an option on the Impala. As a redesigned Charger is just around the corner, expect fleet sales to police departments to continue.
