We were invited by McLaren for a passenger ride in the 650S Le Mans edition, with racing driver Tim Mullen doing the honors of getting us to the top of the hill in rapid time. Using launch control off the line, Tim twisted up and around the circuit, hard on the acceleration punctuated with fierce braking, before crossing the finishing line in around 50 secs. Filming of the hill climb is strictly prohibited, but we captured some footage of the ride back down.

As you will see, the sweeping South Downs make for a stunning backdrop and the McLaren P1 GTR in front the ideal car to be cruising behind.
