Video game fans rejoice: after an eight-year-long wait, Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most eagerly anticipated games in a generation, is finally out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Developed by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is an ambitious open-world RPG set in the dystopian world of Night City, with a visual design inspired by Blade Runner. Critics have praised the game for its detailed open-world and deep character customization. However, despite its long development time and numerous delays, the console versions are plagued with performance issues.

While this isn't a racing game with hundreds of licensed cars like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo, Cyberpunk 2077 features a collection of futuristic cars that can be driven around the city.

One of the standouts is a Porsche 911 Turbo restomod, which you can see in action in a new promotional video released by Porsche to celebrate the collaboration and game's release. As the developer explained to us in our exclusive interview, CD Projekt Red approached Porsche to design a unique 911 that suits the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Based on a 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo, the dystopian sports car is modified with an alternative fuel system, LiDAR sensors enabling fully autonomous driving and a license plate on the roof enabling police to track the car from the air. It's finished in silver with a red and white livery inspired by the 911 RSR race car.

Inside, the Porsche 911 restomod is equipped with more sensors, a hybrid gearbox, and a digital dashboard. In the game, the Porsche 911 is owned by Johnny Silverhand, a famous rockstar played by Keanu Reeves, but you can also drive it in the game. In the real world, Porsche built a one-off working replica of the car that will be displayed at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

While the Porsche 911 Turbo restomod is the only officially-licensed car in Cyberpunk 2077, the other cars in the game feature some striking designs inspired by iconic real-world cars from the 1980s and 1990s such as the Lamborghini Countach and De Tomaso Pantera.
