Aston Martin's first SUV, the DBX, is set to debut later this month. So far, we've only had teasers, but the British carmaker has now revealed a shot of the finished interior and set expectations with the price tag. Aston Martin has announced that the DBX's pricing is to start at a whopping $189,900 in the US. That slides the DBX into the bottom end of Aston's price range above the V8 Vantage, which starts at $149,000. So, as far as an Aston Martin goes, the DBX looks like it'll be an incredible SUV for the money.

But the bespoke automaker isn't cutting corners. The interior is promised to be full of top-notch and hand-crafted materials, and it certainly looks beautiful. Aston isn't just about beauty, though, and tells us that six months were "spent solely focused on defining the position of the driver within the vehicle." The bespoke automaker wants visibility to be key for the driver in the DBX, along with the perfect driving position and access to the controls.

The level of detail involved in the cabin stretches to Aston taking on "external counsel, including the brand's Female Advisory Board and multiple customer clinics with HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) of mixed demographic, ensuring the cabin develops a feeling of instant familiarity." We can only admire the modernity of thinking in Aston Martin's snobbishness there.

Aston Martin also describes the center console, which we can't see too well in the image, as being elegant with a free-floating aesthetic. More importantly, it offers storage space for larger items, including handbags. Other companies should pay attention here, because having to store a bag on the passenger seat, in the footwell, or on the backset in an SUV is not ideal. We also like that Aston brought in a group of children to jump in and out of the back for an ergonomic assessment. And, of course, there as some typically lux accessories to go with the new model.

We'll find out the full details about the Aston Martin DBX when it's unveiled on November 20.
