Chevrolet Camaro Makes a Detour in the UK

The Chevrolet Camaro will be available in both Coupe and Convertible in the UK beginning this year. The car will only be offered in LHD (Left Hand Drive) and made its official debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.

For British folks, the long anticipated arrival of the Chevrolet Camaro has finally become a reality. The muscle car will be offered only in LHD (Left Hand Drive) configuration, so UK drivers will have to make the adjustment. The only "major" difference separating the UK version from the American one is a re-tuned suspension for European roads. Under the hood, the Chevrolet Camaro gets is power from a 6.2-liter V8 engine giving an output of 432hp.

All UK Camaro's will be the top spec model along with 20-inch alloy wheels, full leather upholstery with a six-way power adjustable driver's seat, Brembo performance brakes and fully equipped with a Boston Acoustics nine-speaker audio system. The Chevrolet Camaro will be available from only £34,995 (roughly $56,280 USD). The convertible version will also be sold with a base price of £39,995. Reigning British touring car champion Mark Plato drove the car up the hill at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed where official UK pricing was announced.
