That's one heck of a roar.
There's a handful of names that dominate in the world of aftermarket performance exhaust systems, and Corsa Performance definitely ranks. Makers of efficient, high-flow cat-back and axle-back exhaust systems, performance headers, and even performance air induction kits, Corsa has built a sterling reputation for build quality and performance gains for an impressive range of manufacturers.
Needless to say, the US-based Corsa Performance has an affinity for American performance cars like the Chevrolet Camaro, and a new video released over the weekend shows just how great the company's Xtreme+ cat-back exhaust sounds on the 2016+ Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1.
Not that the Camaro's 6.2-liter V8s need any help sounding absolutely ferocious, but you show us a car that doesn't sound better with a well-tuned exhaust and we'll eat our hats.
Corsa's Xtreme+ cat-back takes 5 pounds of weight out of the exhaust and improves exhaust gas flow. It also maintains the factory four-tip appearance, albeit with big, 4-inch outlets available in either a polished or black finish. The rest of the system is 2.75 inches in diameter, and crafted from stainless steel for a beautiful finish and lasting corrosion resistance. If you do ever have any trouble, all Corsa's systems come with a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car.
Sadly, Corsa's Xtreme+ Camaro V8 exhaust is intended for "race use only," according to the manufacturer's website, although California is the only state listed where it's definitively not allowed on the road. Still, it would be best to think long and hard about installing this exhaust on your daily driver.
But thankfully, it's just one of several 2016+ Camaro exhaust systems Corsa offers, and paired with a set of Corsa long-tube headers, you can fatten up your horsepower and torque curves substantially and get just the sound you're looking for.
