Chevrolet just unveiled the refreshed 2021 Colorado midsize pickup truck lineup. The off-road favorite ZR2 is part of that update, though sales are not slated to get underway until sometime next year. In the meantime, there are still leftover 2019 Colorado ZR2s to sell and Chevrolet dealerships want them gone. So does corporate.

The Bow Tie brand has therefore just announced a new discount that's in effect until October 31 at midnight. There's a total of $3,759 in potential savings and it can be broken down as follows: $1,759 price reduction below MSRP, plus $1,750 customer cash and another $250 purchase bonus cash. With nearly a $4,000 discount available, now's the time to buy, assuming one doesn't mind a truck with five-year-old styling inside and out. For the record, the Colorado ZR2 has an MSRP of $43,995 not including destination.

Even so, Colorado ZR2 customers can still drive off in a brand new truck for about $40,000. It should be noted this offer appears to apply for both the 3.6-liter V6 and 2.8-lite Duramax turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine options, paired to an 8-speed automatic and 6-speed automatic, respectively. The oil burner, however, carries a higher MSRP of $47,495.

What's interesting is that this nearly $4,000 discount is not quite as good as what was offered this past July as part of an Independence Day sale. That deal took nearly $5,000 off the truck's price.

However, this sale only lasted for a few days as opposed to the entire month. Also, that deal was only good for current GM owners, which isn't the case this month. Chevrolet has not yet announced official pricing for the refreshed Colorado lineup, but chances are there will be some increases. In other words, this month's ZR2 discounts could be about as good you can get.
