Last month marked the end of an era as the last-ever Chevrolet Corvette C7 rolled off the production line. Not only was it the end of the road for the last-generation Corvette, but it marked the end of front-engine Corvettes 66 years after the original C1 Corvette was introduced in 1953. Replacing it is the new mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

While production of the new Corvette has been delayed by several months, there are still plenty of new C7 Corvettes available to buy with some very enticing discounts to clear inventories. For November, Chevrolet slashed up to $9,000 off the C7 Corvette. If all you want for Christmas is a Corvette, there are even better discounts available this month according to CarsDirect.

Last month, the best deal on the Corvette Z06 was worth up to $9,404 as part of a Supplier Pricing promotion introduced in August. There was a catch, however, as the discount included a $3,000 loyalty bonus only available to existing Corvette owners.

For December, the loyalty discount has been dropped in favor of a $2,000 bonus available to everyone. If you didn't already own a Corvette, you could previously save up to $6,404 off the Z06, but without the ownership requirement, the discount increases to $11,885 this month.

It's worth noting, though, that the discount is only good for buying and not when leasing and the amount you save will vary from vehicle to vehicle. The $11,000 discount also applied to a Z06 with an MSRP of $96,425, lowering the price to $85,425. The Z06 starts at $85,290, so Chevrolet is adding options you may not have been planning to buy.

As for the entry-level Stingray, Chevrolet is offering a $7,478 discount for the coupe with an MSRP of $56,995. This brings the price down to $49,517 before taxes & fees, which is a good saving. If you've been on the fence, this month is a great time to buy a 2019 Corvette C7.
