Chevrolet Impala 669

Industry News

The Impala is cool in name recognition only. No longer the rear-drive powerful car it once was, the current Impala is a front-drive full size family car. It comes with a lot of standard features, such as a 3.9 liter V6 engine, electronic stability control, and head-protecting curtain air bags. At one point, a V8 was available in the SS model, which has since been dropped. The front seat is especially roomy, but the seats are not very comfortable or supportive. The rear seat is quite small.

The trunk, however, is quite large. Its competitors have also gone the way of the dinosaurs as the Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis are no longer produced. Bottom line is that Chevrolet's own Malibu, which is much newer and more refined, is a better choice.
