The Chevrolet Equinox crossover is a key player in the brand's current lineup. Overall sedan popularity has dropped considerably, hence the decision to discontinue the full-size Impala and, though not yet confirmed, its mid-size offering, the Malibu. Consumers want crossovers and Chevy has several to offer. The Equinox's popularity continues to climb with a 2 percent increase in the third business quarter for a total of 79,799 units and the company wants to end 2019 on a high note. To help make that happen, it's offering some fantastic discounts on new 2019 and 2020 Equinox crossovers. Starting this month, some new 2019 Equinox models are being offered with a 20 percent discount.

Prefer a 2020 model? No problem, as there are discounts here too, sometimes up to 15 percent. How does this equate to dollar discounts?

Anywhere from $6,000 to $8,000 off. Here's a more precise breakdown: For the 2019 Equinox, Chevy is offering 20 percent off MSRP for most models. As an example, there's a $1,833 discount along with a $6,217 cash allowance for a grand total of $8,050. Apply that to a 2019 Equinox AWD Premier with an MSRP of $40,250 and you're looking at a discounted price of $32,200. The discount on the 2020 Equinox is not quite as generous but still quite attractive with a 15 percent discount below MSRP on most models.

For example, take $1,726 off in addition to $4,448 cash allowance and you're at $6,174 in savings. Apply that, once again, to an Equinox AWD Premier, only a 2020 model, with an MSRP of $41,165 and the discounted price comes to $34,991.

These offers are in place until December 2. Perhaps even more enticing is that these offers, along with Chevy's currently running Black Friday discounts, are being offered to all buyers – not just to competitive owners or current GM owners. Some offers are dependent on financing via GM Financial, so be sure to read the fine print before signing.
