After Ram 1500 outsold the Chevrolet Silverado in the first quarter of this year, GM is understandably anxious to regain its long-held number two sales slot, behind the Ford F-Series. While sales of the redesigned 2019 Silverado may not have been quite as stellar as Chevrolet hoped, there's still a fairly large number of unsold previous generation Silverados scattered across dealership lots. To help make way for the redesigned truck, Chevy has decided to offer an incredible discount on 2018 Silverado 1500s for the rest of this month. How much can buyers save? Try up to $12,000.

GM Authority has compiled the complete discount list for all included 2018 Silverados, which are built on the old K2 platform. They are as follows:

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Crew Cab LT All Star Z71: $6,750 total cash allowance + $4,815 employee discount + $750 option package discount = $12,315 total value (available to current GM vehicle owners)

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab: $1,500 cash allowance when financing with GM Financial $2,500 customer cash + $750 purchase bonus cash = $4,750 total cash allowance

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT/LT Z71: 0 percent APR (interest-free) financing for 72 months + $1,500 cash allowance when financing with GM Financial

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Regular Cab: 0 percent APR (interest-free) financing for 72 months + $500 cash allowance when financing with GM Financial

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Double Cab: 0 percent APR (interest-free) financing for 72 months + $500 cash allowance when financing with GM Financial

• 2018 Silverado 1500 Double Cab: $2,500 customer cash + $750 purchase bonus cash = $3,250 total cash allowance

For those who don't have to have the latest generation Silverado, these deals are hard to ignore. You'll still be getting a very capable and proven full-size pickup truck complete with a factory warranty. But interested parties better act fast because the above offers are only valid until the end of this month. Sources claim supplies of the previous-gen Silverado are going fast, which is understandable given these prices, so it's really a first come, first served basis now. Happy truck shopping.
