Chevrolet has had record-breaking first-quarter sales results for their mid-size Colorado pickup, having shifted 33,494 over the past three months to see a 16 percent increase, but it's not calling it quits just yet.

Chevy has just announced a number of discounts for both 2018 and 2019 Colorado pickups for the month of May, although you are going to have to be a GM owner to take advantage of their most generous deals.

The 2018 Colorado pickup can now be had with a $1,500 customer cash discount or a $1,000 APR cash and zero percent 72-month payment plan, the latter offer excluding the base model. The 2019 Colorado comes with a $1,000 customer cash offer, although this once again excludes the base model.

The 2018 Colorado models are already approximately $1,000 less than the 2019 equivalents across most trim levels, and differences between the two are rather minor. They include additions like new infotainment software, a few more USB ports and a higher-definition rear-view camera. If you aren't too fussed about those upgrades for the 2019 models, then opting for the $1,500 customer cash offer means you can have a 2018 WT trim pickup in your driveway for a rather tempting $23,195.

Those interested in a 2019 Colorado LT (this is the mid-range trim) can get $2,250 off the MSRP as long as they are current GM owners. That means that this model will now cost you $26,455 if you take advantage of the deal before the 31st of May. These incentives are limited to US customers and are not available in conjunction with other finance or lease deals.
