During the 2016 SEMA show, Chevrolet showcased the rugged Carhartt Silverado 2500HD Concept created in collaboration with clothing company Carhartt. Its public reception was so positive that Chevrolet decided to put it into production. After making its production debut at the 2019 SEMA show, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Carhartt Edition is about to arrive in dealers - but you'd be forgiven for forgetting all about it as Chevrolet hasn't been promoting it. To remind us of its existence, Chevrolet has released a new promotional video starring the Carhatt Edition.

"The uniform of hard work now available in a truck. Bowtie included," a narrator says over the video as Carhartt products are being produced and worn by the workers they are designed for.

It's a fitting collaboration since the company has specialized in rugged clothing since it was founded in 1889. Available on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ Crew Cab with the optional Z71 Off-Road Package, the Carhartt Special Edition is finished in Mosaic Black Metallic with Carhartt pinstripe detailing and comes kitted out with Carhatt badges on the doors and tailgate, 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and a soft roll-up tonneau cover embossed with the Carhartt logo. A body-color grille bar, chrome inserts, and body-color front and rear bumpers complete the look.

Inside, you get all-weather floor liners with Carhatt badges and unique two-tone Jet Black and Carhartt Brown perforated front and rear leather seating surfaces featuring unique stitching and Carhartt embroidered headrests.

Pricing for the Carhartt Special Edition package starts at $3,585 but requires extras such as the LTZ Plus Package LTZ Convenience Package II, Safety Package II, and Z71 Off-Road Package mean you'll be paying an $8,370 premium over the regular 2500HD Crew Cab LTZ. Unfortunately, if you live in California you won't be able to buy the Silverado HD Carhartt Special Edition due to local legislation banning amber roof marker lamps.
