Before the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD arrives in dealerships, the bow tie brand needs to get rid of its current stock of 2018 and 2019 models, both of which are the outgoing generation. As usual, the best way to make room on dealer lots is discounts and incentives, and GM Authority has learned that Chevy is currently offering attractive discounts on select 2018 and 2019 trucks, some of which have up to $3,500 slashed off the price tag.

Both 2018 and 2019 Silverado HDs can be purchased right now with $3,500 and $3,000 cash allowance, respectively, when financing through GM Financial, and this includes both 2500 and 3500 models. That means one can buy a 2018 Silverado 2500 HD WT for as low as $32,295 instead of its regular $35,795 MSRP, including destination.

The 2018 3500 HD WT normally starts at $36,895 but that can now be reduced to $33,395. The 2019 HDs don't have quite the same discount, which is fair enough, but a $3,000 price reduction is still nice. Instead of the '19 2500 HD WT starting at $39,095 (including destination), simply subtract $3k off that. Meanwhile, the '19 3500 HD WT carries a starting price of $41,795, so do the math.

There was a price increase between the '18 and '19 models, so it'd be fair to expect the same when the completely redesigned '20 Silverado HD goes on sale next summer. As for the discounts on the leftover stock, Chevy says these current discounted prices are only good until the end of this month and are available on all trim levels, including the always expensive High Country trims.

Like usual, the cash allowance cannot be combined with other offers so it's best to check with your dealership first before signing on the dotted line. As is the case with soon to be discontinued vehicles because of newly arrived redesigned model, now is the time to buy. The prices likely won't get much better, but there are still a few more months to go before summer, so never say never.
