Nurburgring lap times represent the ultimate bragging rights for automakers. Back in April, the track-focused Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE was spotted attempting a new lap record at the Green Hell, and now Chevrolet has posted a teaser video on Facebook hinting that its lap time will finally be revealed very soon. Given the anticipation the automaker is trying to generate, chances are the ZL1 1LE has set a new lap record. It will have to beat the blistering time set by the stock Camaro ZL1, which ripped up the Ring in 7 minutes and 29.6 seconds.

This was three seconds faster than the Mustang Shelby GT350R, and we fully expect the ZL1 1LE to beat that time by several seconds. Like the ZL1, the Camaro ZL1 1LE is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, but it's been fitted with a raft of upgrades to help it tear up the track. Compared to the standard Camaro ZL1, the ZL1 1LE is 60 pounds lighter and has an adjustable ride height, as well as Multimatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve dampers. Aero upgrades include a massive carbon fiber rear wing, and it also boasts a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires developed exclusively for the ZL1 1LE.

The trailer proudly states that "the time has come," but no clues of the lap time or a reveal date were mentioned. Hopefully we'll find out if the ZL1 1LE lives up to its title as "the most track-capable Camaro ever" in a matter of days. The track-focused muscle car will be screeching into dealerships this summer, though Rick Hendrick has already snapped up the first one for a six-figure sum.
