Chevy Aveo

Industry News

The Korean built Aveo is the entry-level car from Chevrolet. Classified as a sub-compact, the Aveo offers very good fuel economy and intelligent use of interior space. Available as either a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback, the Aveo has a 1.6 liter four cylinder engine with 117 horsepower. For a car this small, overall fuel economy is a bit disappointing, averaging only 26 mpg. What it does do well if offer easy access and decent value for the money.

With a base price just below $13,000, the Aveo provides basic transportation at an affordable price. However, when stacked up against the competition - mainly the Honda Fit - there is simply no comparison as the Aveo is need of some serious improvements. Fortunately, a redesigned model will debut sometime in 2011.
