Following in the footsteps of their European competition and the Dodge Viper ACR-X, Chevrolet has made a track-ready Corvette, which is currently being called the Z06X in its concept form. Curb weight has been trimmed with the use of carbon fiber, and the suspension has been dialed in better for track use. All of these changes, along with lighter-weight wheels, performance tires and roll cage, are pretty standard fare and what you'd also find in a Superleggera or RS.

Where the Z06X differs is that all of the changes have been made according to SCCA specifications. While not much is needed to get your GT3 RS ready for the track, with the Z06X you would just have to bring your helmet with you to the dealership and then head right to the track. It's just a concept for now, but the smart money is on them actually building this one.
