The C8 Corvette is Chevrolet's answer to the influx of highly capable supercars from Europe and Asia, and has been a dream come true for Corvette fans across the world who've been calling for a mid-engine layout for years. Now that it's here, owners and tuners alike are itching at the collar to start modifying this platform, and one such company, Sigala Designs has already brought out a carbon-fiber engine cover for the American supercar.

While some have already begun tinkering with the exterior looks of the car, the engine bay has not been at the receiving end of much attention up until now. Hennessey Performance has already begun toying with the 6.2-liter V8 engine and recently released a video of one reaching 200 mph.

We also know that the C8 is capable of sticking with a Dodge Viper ACR around the track, but we think its time the appearance side of things got some love. The standard engine bay of the 2020 C8 is not a bad looking place: the 490-hp LS motor in the Vette is covered with a vented engine cover that proudly boasts the Corvette name on either side.

The mid-engined layout in the C8 already looks quite exotic, with jutting chassis bracing and red rocker covers adding a bit of spice to the engine bay. But for some, it's clearly too humble. Which is where Sigala Designs, a company specializing in body kits for American sports cars, comes in.

The aftermarket company has come up with an exposed carbon-fiber engine cover that adapts to the stock mounts, including vented sections. This part goes for a modest $549.99 and truly transforms the space into something resembling the space you'd find in an exotic such as the McLaren 720S.

If you want to make the engine bay of your C8 stand out even more, we would recommend getting the $995 engine appearance package from Chevrolet. This package adds LED lighting in the engine bay, and other choice carbon fiber bits.
