Need for Speed World is getting an update to mark its second-year anniversary.

On July 27 most of you will be paying attention to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. But for those CarBuzz readers who shun the outside world and get lost instead in the world of video games, we've got some good news for you as well. Need for Speed World, the free online PC game, is celebrating its second year in existence with a host of new cars - including the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The digitally recreated version of the 580-horsepower supercharged muscle car will be available for download free of charge.

The extensive racing game usually requires players to buy games using their SpeedBoost online currency, however the Camaro ZL1 is being given out as an anniversary present. In addition to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, players will also be able to pick up new exotics and racing cars in the game in the forthcoming weeks. Players can also receive double XP experience points in races, team escapes and cop pursuits as well, so read more CarBuzz and then go tear it up for free on Need for Speed World.
