Chevy Colorado Performance Concept Powers into SEMA

SEMA 2014

Motorcross racer Ricky Carmichael collaborated on the concept.

Chevy has teamed up with motorcross racer Ricky Carmichael to create the Colorado Performance concept that will be on display this week at SEMA. Illustrating the midsize pickup truck’s “lifestyle supporting capability,” the 2015 Colorado-based concept features a bespoke matte gray paint job with yellow and silver accents, Carmichael’s signature, and yellow-tinted 17-inch alloys wrapped in offroad rubber.

Modifications include a tailgate extender for securing bikes, while the mounting hardware has been altered to allow bikes, boards, kayaks and other bulky gear to be stored above the bed, leaving space within the bed for stuff like tents and sleeping bags. The interior comes with yellow accents and the number 4 embroidered in the headrests as a nod to Carmichael’s racing number.
