Why did Chevy pit the 2014 Camaro Z/28 against the Mustang Boss 302 and not the Shelby GT500? That's a valid question but one Camaro's Chief Engineer, Al Oppenheiser, immediately shoots down by stating that having tested all of Ford's products, the Boss 302 Laguna Seca is the Blue Oval's fastest track Pony. In this brilliantly concise comparison test held at GM's high-security MRC road course in Milford, Michigan, the track-oriented Camaro dominates the Boss 302 in almost every area.

The Z/28 also completes the 4.6km-lap on average four seconds quicker than the Ford's fastest Stang. With that age-old rivalry finally put to rest, Chevy now plans to take on the Porsche 911 GT3 and Nissan GT-R and complete its mission of world dominance.
