When Volkswagen first introduced the V10 turbodiesel option for the Touareg, they staged a publicity stunt wherein the SUV towed a Boing 747. An impressive feat, but we all know it would have ended differently if the 747 had pulled back. That's what makes this following video so impressive. The semi might not be a 747, but one would just have to assume that in a tug of war against a pickup truck, there is no way for a semi to lose.

Now, it is true that the semi has no weight over the drive wheels, while the pickup clearly has quite a bit. But still, the result is unexpected.
