We recently reported some performance specs for the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. When equipped with the 10-speed automatic, the new ZL1 will take just 3.5 seconds to hit 60 mph and 11.4 seconds to do the quarter-mile. Now, the Camaro6 forum has some details about the six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed equipped ZL1 will be able to hit 60 mph in first gear, which will improve its 0-60 time. Like the Ford Mustang, the ZL1 will come with a line-lock feature that allows the driver to lock the front brakes and do a burnout for 15 seconds.

Drivers will be able to change the launch RPM, which can be controlled in the car's track mode. The six-speed manual will also come with rev matching, like the system found in the Corvette. Thanks to TruBlu Camaro, we can see chief engineer Al Oppenheiser talk about the new Camaro.
