Ford's new F-150 - with aluminum body and significant upgrades throughout - is no doubt going to pose a significant threat to Chevrolet's truck line. But as we recently told you, the popular performance F-150 SVT Raptor won't be available on the new model in coming years. Rather than letting truck enthusiasts hold their breath, Chevy specialists Lingenfelter and Southern Comfort Automotive will soon unveil the 2014 Silverado Reaper.

The Reaper will offer a Fox Racing suspension system, supercharged V8 and a Corsa exhaust system, in addition to a high clearance bumper, grille and hood and 17-inch beadlock wheels with off-road tires. With exterior options like custom graphics, bespoke gauge packages and stitched headrests, the Reaper should look pretty good both inside and out. With all these enhancements, this truck might just be the one to lure disappointed Raptor fans into Chevy dealerships, where conversion kits will be available later this year. Check out these teaser pics and stay tuned for more details.
