Worth the extra couple of grand?
Following the GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition, General Motors has decided Chevrolet should also have a blacked-out pickup in its ranks with the unveiling of the Silverado Midnight special edition. Set to debut at the Chicago Motor Show next month, the Midnight Edition is based on a black Silverado Z71 and comes with an all-black fascia with body-colored grille, bumper, tow hooks, fog lamps and headlamp bezels, black side moldings, 18-inch black alloys, special Z71 badges, a black spray-in bedliner and black Chevy bowties front and rear.
As a 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71, it also comes with off-road suspension, locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, and a trailering package. In addition, the Midnight edition receives rear park assist, and heated, power-adjusted door mirrors. Offered in double-cab or crew-cab configuration, Chevy will make no more than 5,000 Midnight Silverados for the 2015 model year, ranging from $1,595 to $1,995.
