Deals are to be found on Chevy's entire lineup.
As automakers bid farewell to a dismal 2020, the sales recovery program has begun and Chevrolet is going all-out to ensure its starts 2021 on the right foot. Typically, one of the best times of the year to buy a new vehicle is in December, but CarsDirect notes Chevy's January offers are literally unprecedented.
The Bow Tie brand has re-launched its 84-month APR deals along with rebates of up to $7,000. Dealerships nationwide received these details earlier this week from the corporate office informing them they can offer customers 0 percent APR loans for up to 84 months along with down payment assistance for a majority of the lineup. Not surprisingly, unsold 2020 models are some of the best deals. For example, a 2020 Bolt EV can be purchased with the above offer plus $7,000 in cash rebates.
Usually, rebates and low APR offers are not mixed together, so this combination is truly something. Other popular 2020 Chevys that qualify for 84 months of interest-free payments include the Trax, Equinox, and Traverse, and all three have rebates ranging in value from $1,350 to $4,150. Believe it or not, there's still a fairly large national inventory of 2020 Trax and Equinox vehicles in stock.
Even the always-popular Silverado qualifies. A 2021 (yes, a 2021) Silverado Crew Cab is being offered with 0 percent APR for 72 months and $2,500 in down payment assistance. A 2021 Colorado, meanwhile, has a $1,150 bonus. There was no Colorado offer only a month ago aside from an Employee Pricing deal.
Basically, Chevy is combining an ultra-long, zero-interest loan term with cash bonuses designed to help offset down payments, and that's unprecedented for the brand. It even surpasses the 0 percent APR for 84 months and deferred payments for 120 days offer from last March when the pandemic struck.
Not interested in a Chevy but still want a GM vehicle? Both Buick and GMC are offering similar deals, specifically 0 percent APR for 72 months and bonuses on some but not all models. A 2020 Enclave, for example, can now be purchased with zero interest plus $4,000 in cash. These GM offers are in place until February 1, 2021.
