The 2019 Silverado 1500 is a highly capable truck available in a variety of trims to suit different needs and a formdiable rival to the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. But while the RST and Trail Boss trims are only available for the Crew Cab and Double Cab body versions in the US, Chevrolet has just launched Regular Cab versions exclusively for the Middle Eastern market.
Both the 2019 Silverado RST and Trail Boss regular cab models are available with a 5.3-liter V8 engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission and feature a more spacious interior with individual buckets seats. For comparison, the US-market RST is offered with a choice of a 2.7-liter, turbocharged gasoline engine, a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine, and a 5.3-liter Ecotec V8. The off-road-focused Trail Boss, on the other hand, is offered with a 5.3-liter turbo V8 or a 4.3-liter V6.
"The Chevrolet Silverado regular cab line-up has already garnered huge acclaim from truck fans across the region since its launch earlier this year, with excitement steadily building around our RST and Trail Boss Middle East exclusive trims. We pay careful attention to what our customers want, putting them at the heart of our business, and we are proud to be able to offer them even greater choice in purchasing a pickup that truly matches their lifestyle,” said Ahmed Soudodi, Head of Brand at Chevrolet Middle East & Africa.
"The Silverado RST and Trail Boss will continue to win over hearts in the Middle East. We have a hundred years of truck expertise behind us and with models like the 2019 Silverado we are confident our legacy will extend into the future.”
Standard active safety features for the 2019 Silverado regular cab line-up include a Blind Spot Indicator, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front and Rear Park Assist. As for tech, an eight-inch infotainment system comes as standard for the RST and Trail Boss regular cab models along with Apple CarPlay and wireless charging.
