To make the official debut special, rally star Rhys Millen drove the new Hyundai Veloster Rally car on to the stage at this year's Chicago Auto Show. It comes with a hand-built Hyundai 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's boasted by a HKS ball bearing turbocharger. All told, Hyundai states that total power output is 500 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. It's mated to an Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox that sends power to the four-wheel drive system.

The suspension is made up of Proflex jumbo coilovers and there are 18-inch HRE alloy wheels with 14-inch Alcon rotors up front and 12-inch Alcon rotors in the rear. Total curb weight comes in at just 2,656 lbs. It's set to make its big race debut at this year's U.S. Rallycross Championship and will be driven by Millen, Marcus Dodd, and Robby Maddison. Millen and Maddison will also be driving it at this summer's X Games.
