Ever hear of something called recycling?
According to the latest census, China has a population of roughly 1.4 billion people. Just for comparison, the United States has around 319 million residents. South America: 387.5 million. All of Europe? 742.5 million. With the world’s largest population, you’re going to have an awful lot of old stuff laying around, like used cars and motorbikes. So what’s the Chinese government doing with these old vehicles that no longer meet emissions standards? The answer isn’t recycling, but to create these massive junk yards.
