With Christmas already becoming a distant memory, it's time for the Chinese army to get back to business. Based on the Dongfeng EQ2050 (which also looks suspiciously like a Hummer), they have recently taken delivery of a 4x4 armored vehicle designed for hit-and-run fast attacks with a big turret on the roof to house a rocket-propelled grenade launcher or meaty machine gun. Currently a Chinese soldier is poking out where by all rights an awesome weapon should be fitted.

A Dongfeng-Cummins joint venture made the Cummins V8 diesel engine that powers the specialist killing machine, and the same company has produced engines for other army vehicles such as light tanks and IFVs. Standing at around 1.80 meters, armor on this huge vehicle seems to have been kept to a minimum, no doubt to maintain its agility and speed, while we can also see steel bars inside supporting the turret. Let's hope the only action this beast gets to see is in training.
