See the BMW i8 in production guise and you'll be amazed just how little it has changed from the concept that bowed back in 2009. Chris Harris has similar feelings about the mid-engined hybrid sports car, which he took to the winding Canyon roads of California before pit stopping at an In-N-Out burger. Harris also appreciates the car's futuristic cabin, how the torque fill allows it to fly out of corners and the 911-like sound of the i8's turbo three-pot when going at a lick, as well as its monastic silence when cruising in electric mode.

It's not completely perfect, but Harris left LA with a positive outlook on one the cars of the future.
