Christian von Koenigsegg Says His Company Could One Day Build "Normal Cars"

Can that day be tomorrow?

The days of merely staring at a Koenigsegg run laps on YouTube could soon be over. Okay, that's not really true, but Christian von Koenigsegg did give hope to the plebes of the world in a recent interview with Car Throttle. "Within our company there could be room to start utilizing all the technological developments we have created, and trickle them down into more normal cars." So, does that mean the One: 1 sedan will be out sometime in 2017?

Don't bet on it (as if you were). If Koenigsegg were to expand its founder sees a sub-brand or a collaboration with another company as the best bet. "I think the brand Koenigsegg should stay in this rarified area and make these extreme machines and keep on pushing the limit." Of course you have to think that even the cars built by a Koenigsegg sub-brand would still be expensive, maybe along the likes of what Ferraris or McLarens go for. Still, Koenigsegg is pioneering some amazing tech and it appears that its founder doesn't want to limit its applications to just a handful of hypercars a year.
