This story is one of those moments when you just want to take a bunch of lawyers, insurance agents and executives and… Well, you want to understand what the hell they're thinking. Chrysler has just ordered 93 original Dodge Vipers that it had donated to schools across the country for educational purposes to be destroyed. Apparently, some of them had been driven without permission and crashed, and liability costs had grown too expensive. The solution: crush ‘em.
The destroyed cars included the 1992 blue Viper pictured below, with VIN #4. All this when rare Corvettes are being plucked out of the sinkhole in Kentucky and sent for delicate restoration. For shame.
