There's no doubt that the Chrysler 200 is getting long in the tooth, but just before its replacement arrives for 2014, the automaker is sending the current model out in style. Set to debut this week at the New York Auto Show is the Chrysler 200 S Special Edition. Developed in partnership with outdoor clothing company Carhartt, which also happens to be headquartered in Detroit, the car begins life equipped with the S package that already comes with black 18-inch wheels, more stylized head- and taillights and an upgraded interior.

But the new 2013.5 Special Edition tacks on a new gloss black mesh grille with chrome trim, more body color cladding, platinum chrome fog light "spears" and a sport suspension. Power comes from the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. Carhartt contributed to the interior design with a black water-resistant fabric on the seats, signature Carhartt triple stitching seat accents as well as other black trim items in place of the typical chrome. Sales will begin shortly with a base price of $28,870.
