It's hard to believe, but the PT Cruiser was first launched back in 2000. Since then it has had a few interior and exterior updates, but has remained relatively unchanged. PT stands for "Personal Transport", and the names fits it well. It is a versatile five-door wagon that has a roomy (and removable) rear sit. This really is a people mover vehicle perfect for families. It is available with front-wheel drive only and can set up to five passengers.
A turbocharged GT model is also available with a 2.4 liter four-cylinder. In 2005, a two-door convertible was introduced which garnered the car even more of a hotrod feel. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. The future of the PT Cruiser is in doubt as Fiat is debating whether production should continue.
