Chrysler has just previewed its upcoming line of "S" models at the 6th Annual Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine, California. The event took place from March 25th - 27th and models such as the 200 convertible, 300 sedan, and the Town & Country minivan in concept forms. According to Chrysler, all three are expected to go into production later this year. The "S" treatment is basically a cosmetic package that Chrysler hopes will appeal to younger buyers with more "edgy" styling.
For example, the 300 has a bespoke gunmetal finish, a new front grille, smoked headlamps and taillights, alloy wheel with a unique design, and a boot lid spoiler. Judging from the picture, it also appears there's a lowered suspension. The interior is adorned in red leather with special "S" logos and trim. Chrysler has confirmed that the 200 convertible S will only be offered with the 3.6-liter V6 engine. Styling additions will include a specially finished grille, dark headlamp surrounds, 18-inch aluminum wheels, black leather seats with suede inserts, and a Boston Acoustics speaker system.
The Town & Country version will feature new alloys, a mesh grille, silver body accents, and several other interior upgrades. Expect for the 200 convertible to go on sale first sometime this spring.
