Murcielago

For decades people have found creative ways to modify the original Fiat 500. Some results have turned out better than others but every now and then there's something that's just truly bonkers. This is one of them. The guys over at Italian tuning firm Oemmedi Mechanics had the idea of completely breaking down an old 500 and rebuilding it to accommodate the 580-horsepower 6.2-liter V12 from a Lamborghini Murcielago. This was no easy task as it necessitated rebuilding the little 500 from the ground up.

In addition to the V12, the 500 was also given a set of Lambo wheels, a retractable rear wing and custom bodywork. The final result is unreal and it looks and sounds like something just waiting to explode...and go really, really fast.

The tuner also created the following video which documents the entire build process as well as additional footage showing off that ferocious sounding engine and some track time.
