Citroen DS4 Racing Concept is One Serious Hot Hatch

/ Comments

Recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the DS4 Racing concept was developed by Citroen Racing, the seven-time WRC winning motorsports division.

Citroen Racing's engineers have taken all their multi WRC winning expertise and applied it to the DS4, which represents a significant evolution from the DS3 Racing limited edition. The concept features new carbon-fiber components including an air diffuser, front splitter and wheel arch extensions. While the Citroen Racing-developed 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine provides up to 256hp, a record for a Citroen series production car, and an equally impressive CO2 emissions of just 155g/km.

A modified chassis is 35mm lower, 55mm wider at the front, and 75mm wider at the back than the production DS4, and sits on specially-designed two-tone 19-inch alloys that house massive 380mm diameter disc brakes with fixed four-piston calipers at the front. As a final flourish, the DS4 Racing concept has been given a unique textured-effect matt grey paintjob, which is complemented by a two-tone roof.
