Mini had the premium hatchback all to itself for long enough. By now rival automakers have stood up and taken notice, so if the retro-styled British super-mini isn't to your liking (and you live in a market where these models are offered), Citroen took a decidedly different approach in designing the DS3. Now the French automaker has followed up with a new special-edition of its avant-garde city car, replete (as you might have guessed) with red accents to the roof, door mirrors, grille, dashboard and interior door handles.

Available in either DStyle or DSport trims and in either Polar White or Perla Neta Black, the red touches give the DS3 a sportier flair similar to the limited-edition DS3 Racing. Buyers can also choose between 16- or 17-inch wheels (depending on trim level) in black or white, and between the 90-horsepower e-HDI Airstram diesel or the 155hp THP gasoline four. The Red edition also comes packed with a host of optional extras fitted as part of the package, from parking sensors and electric door mirrors to Bluetooth and extra speakers.
