Classic Cars

A range of British classics are being celebrated in stamp form.

Popular British classics have been selected to appear on new First Class postage stamps that celebrate “the best in British car manufacturing,” with concours edition examples used for the photo shoot. These include a main six-stamp set dubbed “thoroughbreds” made up of a 1961 Series One Jaguar E-type roadster, 1962 MG B, 1963 Aston Martin DB5, 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, 1968 Morgan Plus 8 and 1976 Lotus Esprit.

Classic working vehicles are also being represented in a four-stamp collection entitled “Workhorses” featuring an Austin FX4 black cab, Ford Anglia 105E, Land Rover Defender 110 and Morris Minor van.
