Normally, BMW is associated with creating new genres of vehicles (think BMW X6). Whether or not they are actually useful is another question entirely. But in the case of the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, the situation is looking good. Designed off the previous generation E-Class sedan platform, the CLS-Class has distinct coupe-like styling. This sporty styling often times attracts buyers who wouldn't normally be interested in a sedan.
More importantly, however, it projects that even the luxury sedan exterior can look sexy and sleek, as opposed to a more conventional body style. With a base price of $73,200, the CLS-Class doesn't come cheap. The high-performance AMG version stickers for around $98,000, but that comes with a 6.2 liter V8 producing 507 horsepower. Driving fast and looking good while doing so in a sedan has never been sexier or cooler.
