The comedians are funnier and the cars cooler than ever.
Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is coming back, ladies and gentleman. And from the new trailer video, it looks like it could be the best crop of comedians yet, riding in an array of some of the coolest (and strangest) rides Seinfeld has featured on the series yet.
Never mind all the imitators that Jerry calls out at the beginning of the clip. We wouldn't be into watching them anyway. What we're of course into is, first and foremost, the cars, and somewhere further down the list, the comedians riding in them to get their cup of joe.
Watch the clip as closely as we have and you'll see modern supercars like a Lamborghini Huracan Performante and Porsche Carrera GT; American classics including a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible and Dodge Monaco police car; German old-timers like a Mercedes S123 wagon, Porsche 356 cabrio, and Volkswagen Thing; and sundry wheels ranging from a Rolls-Royce Dawn to a Nissan Figaro and even a pair of Italian (Vespa and Lambretta) scooters. The silver convertible is harder to identify, but looks like an Intermeccania Italia (were it not for the lack of side vents) or (more likely) a Maserati Mistral.
That's eleven cars right there (or ten plus two scooters), and that's precisely the number of guests Seinfeld has lined up for this latest season. Tune in to Netflix on July 19 (two weeks from now) and you'll get to visit with Eddie Murphy, Seth Rogen, Ricky Gervais, Matthew Broderick, Jamie Foxx, Sebastian Maniscalo, Martin Short, Mario Joyner, Melissa Villaseñor, Bridget Everett, and Barry Marder. And of course Jerry himself, the king of observational comedy, one of the highest-paid entertainers the world has ever known, and a top-class collector and enthusiast of automobiles (from Zuffenhausen or otherwise).
