Consumer Report's Biggest Fails Of 2013

Award

They may be more expensive to own but does that mean they're not fun to drive?

According to Consumer Reports, the Nissan Armada isn’t a very good car to buy. Despite being a solid large SUV, the Armada also drinks a lot of fuel, a fact CR doesn’t like very much. Getting only 13 miles a gallon and $1.20 a mile to operate has helped earn the Armada a spot on CR’s latest shit list. Along with a top pick in each car category, the publication has also reserved a spot at the bottom for the worst car. The Armada wins the latter for its segment.

Other worst cars by category, according to CR, are the VW Beetle 2.5 (compact/subcompact cars), the Nissan Altima 3.5 SL (midsize), Ford Taurus Limited (large), BMW 750Li (luxury), Chevy Camaro convertible 2SS V8 (sports cars), Chrysler Town & Country Touring-L (minivans), Ford Escape SE 1.6 turbo (small SUVs), Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (midsize SUVs), and the Ford F-250 Lariat V8 (pickup). The whole point CR is making is that just because a car may be cheap doesn’t mean it’s a good value.
