There’s nodebating the Tesla P85D’s incredible ability to demolish supercars that are twiceas expensive in a 0 to 60 mph sprint. But can the 4,900-pound beast really get to60 mph in 3.2 seconds? We’ve seen videos and seen reviews, but we now havean excellent look from Consumer Reports, as in the company that buys its own vehicles toconduct independent tests. In the video, Consumer Reports tests the P85D's 0 to60 mph time, braking ability and handling capability. What it found wasextremely interesting.
The P85D iscapable of braking and handling like a sports car and accelerates as fastas a supercar. Tesla says 0 to 60 mph comes in 3.17 seconds,but Consumer Reports got a slightly higher time of 3.5 seconds.
