Even though production hasn't begun and the final design still hasn't been revealed, aftermarket companies are already working on accessories for the Tesla Cybertruck. Back in May, Stream It announced the CyberLandr, a pop-up camper accessory designed specifically for the Cybertruck that accommodates the electric pickup's awkward angled rails.

This new camper accessory by California startup Form Camper, on the other hand, works with the Tesla Cybertruck as well as traditional pickups like the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado. It will fit any standard truck beds between 5.8 and 8 feet long. Sadly, this means it won't work with the Rivian R1T since its short bed is only 4.5-feet long.

Measuring 9.8 x 4.4 x 3.4 feet when folded down, it's narrow enough to fit between the bedsides of the Tesla Cybertruck. Whereas the CyberLndr features an expandable box designed to fit the Cybertruck's unconventional design and connect to the battery, the Form Camper is a rectangular box that slots between the bedsides.

Instead of folding out, the camper extends off the back of the pickup truck bed to create a separate living space complete with a kitchen, bathroom, living area, and outdoor area. When deployed, the Form Camper creates 71 square feet of floor space and takes around five minutes to setup. The kitchen block includes a fridge freezer, drawers and cabinets.

Thanks to bidirectional slides and dual-sided cabinets, the kitchen can be used inside or outside. Usefully, the camper can be easily detached from the truck by using electric legs that lift it off the pickup truck bed. Thanks to the use of aluminum honeycomb and carbon fiber, the Form Camper has a dry weight of just 1,000 pounds, resulting in minimal drag.

It's still in development, but according to the company the Former Camper to run completely off a battery using either an available 300-Ah deep-cycle lithium-ion battery or the pickup truck's battery pack. A 400-watt roof-mounted solar charging system will keep the battery charged off the grid. Available to preorder, the Form Camper will begin production by 2022, with prices starting at $69,500.
